Love And Sacrifice

My mother used to always say ,"Love without sacrifice is not love at all". What she meant  by this is without sacrificing yourself, you are really not capable of loving someone or anything you may say you love. In life we all have to sacrifice, a little of ourselves in order to accomplish anything we might want to achieve. There is no way you can work or even raise a family without sacrifice. The problem most people have these days, is no one wants to sacrifice anything. There is an old saying, "You must take the good with the bad" or " For better or worse". Some people may think these statements only apply to marriage, but when in fact these statements apply to every part of our lives. There will always be good days , as well as bad days. Everyone that lives will have many trails, tribulations, troubles, heartache's and pains. As bad as we all want it too be , we will never have perfect marriages, families, jobs or lives. Everyday, life brings us all a new challenge that we have to over come. There will be days, when life becomes so overbearing, we will not know if we are coming or going. There will be days that our family members or even our spouse , may do something that we feel is so bad , that we could never forgive them for it. There will be days when life hurts so bad, that the tears in our eyes begin to flow uncontrollable and then we may want to give up  on life all together. That is when we should remember the sacrifices our forefathers made for us. Then we should remember the sacrifices that our Father in Heaven made by sending his only son Jesus Christ to sacrifice himself for our sins. Only then could we understand that love or sacrifice come hand and hand. One without the other really does not have any real meaning. There is no way you could love your children, family or spouse with out a lot of sacrifice. There will be many times that our children or our spouse test our patience , but if we truly love them we would do what ever it is necessary to keep our families together. The world is full of sin and no one is perfect. The devil is loose and he does not want any of us to be happy. But if we learn to love like our Father in Heaven loves us all, then loving your children, family or spouse would be easy. Why would I say this? Well think to yourselves and ask yourself this question, because only you and God can answer it. How many times have you disappointed , sinned or hurt God and how many times have God had to forgive you? If you answered these questions truthfully then you will realize love without sacrifice is not love at all.
Have a blessed weekend,

John3:16-18
16“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,f that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son

  1. I agree that true love is worth sacrifice. In life troubles will come, but will not last forever. I believe that love stand the test of time, and whatever time you put into a loving relationship is what you get out of it. True love is worth keeping and fighting for, but we should never give up on love that was ordained by God. God never once said life would be easy, but if we trust in Him, He will make our burdens lite. Yet, once you reach the pinnacle of success with a thriving, successful relationship you get to know and be with someone with whom you get to share a type of intimacy that very few ever get to truly experience. Love (attraction) many times in the beginning isn't a conscious choice and for a relationship to thrive at some point it must become a conscious choice of two people deciding to choose too love. A relationship that thrives is one in which each has known each other on a very intimate level and continue to make each other better and better. Thanks for the inspirational thought
