Its Sunday morning , I just woke up and all I can say is praise God! If you watched the news or have read your local paper, then you must say as I do , Thank God I am still alive ! Everywhere you look people are being killed or murdered, dangerous viruses are spreading everywhere and while others are dying in car or airplane accidents. There is so much going on in the world today and I am glad that our Father in Heaven, has kept me safe or alive. Now its time to get up ,then get ready for church and its a struggle to get up, because the bed feels so good. It's pouring down outside, parts of me wants to stay in and other parts wants me to go. Something keeps telling me, that it will be okay if I miss church this Sunday, after all the Pastor or Preacher that I like to hear preach, isn't going to be there on this Sunday. I say to myself it won't hurt to miss church today and I'll make service next Sunday. So I get up walk into the bathroom wash my face, then look into the mirror and one thought comes to mind, "God has been so good to me and I can't even give him two hours of my time or out of my day". I say to myself," God forgive me, I should be ashamed" and then I make a frantic rush to get ready for church. No devil ,(I say to myself) you are not going to stop me from getting my blessing. I am going to hear the word of God today and there is nothing you can do to stop me!
Now I am motivated, pumped up, because I have just called the devil a liar and I am on my way to get my blessing.I am in church, in my favorite spot(which happens to be the back of the church) it is not as full as it should be, because this happens to be second Sunday.I wonder to myself where are all the members, then parts of myself tells me not to be concern with others and to only be concerned with my own salvation. After all when I am standing in front of God himself, only I will be judge for my deeds or actions. Now I am being blessed by the songs that are being sung and the word that is being preached. I am so glad that I didn't miss church this Sunday, because just like always, it was a word that I could use and some how the pastor preached something that I needed to hear too get me through to next Sunday.That is why I love Sundays so much, because every time I leave church, I always leave it blessed, fulfilled, new and never the same.Yes its Sunday morning a blessing to be alive, a day of rest, of peace and joy.Time to go to church and then after, hopefully one can enjoy themselves with some family or friends. If you are really blessed then enjoy yourself with that special someone to love each and every Sunday then beyond. Its Sunday morning time to praise God, a time to rest, to be with family or friends and to have some fun.
Have a blessed Sunday,
Charles
A special note to my readers. Sundays are a great blessing, because in some circles, they are the beginning or end of a week. If God has blessed you with a new start or end your week, wouldn't it be wonderful to start it off in both a spiritual and positive manner? Why wouldn't you want to start it off with a positive message from God? If you allow God to walk into your life then great things will begin to happen and your life will changed for the better. If you seek God he will meet you where you stand and your life will change forever. Join me on this Sunday and every Sunday, pray with me as I praise God, for your many blessings to come! God our Father in Heaven is so worthy to be praised! Don't miss another day and especially another Sunday without giving God praise!
Proverbs 7:15 So I came out to meet you; I looked for you and have found you!
Leviticus 7:11 "'These are the regulations for the fellowship offering a person may present to the LORD:
John 20:19 Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and said unto them, Peace be unto you.
Daniel 2:20-23
20Daniel said,
“Let the name of God be blessed forever and ever,
For wisdom and power belong to Him.
21“It is He who changes the times and the epochs;
He removes kings and establishes kings;
He gives wisdom to wise men
And knowledge to men of understanding.
He removes kings and establishes kings;
He gives wisdom to wise men
And knowledge to men of understanding.
22“It is He who reveals the profound and hidden things;
He knows what is in the darkness,
And the light dwells with Him.
He knows what is in the darkness,
And the light dwells with Him.
23“To You, O God of my fathers, I give thanks and praise,
For You have given me wisdom and power;
Even now You have made known to me what we requested of You,
For You have made known to us the king’s matter.”
For You have given me wisdom and power;
Even now You have made known to me what we requested of You,
For You have made known to us the king’s matter.”
It was hard for me to get up this morning too with the rain falling and the reason why I shoud stsy home, but I said to myself if it was a work day I would be going to work. I was glad I did, the message was "Be careful what you listen to", it was a blessing. Also, it's ironic that you metioned that you can't be concerned about others, I was telling my cousin on yesterday to stop allowing what other "christians" are doing to hinder your walk with God. You have to stand before God by yourself for the life you have lived and they have to do the same. Well this Sunday is a blessing just like all the other days of the week and i am blessed. Lynette
ReplyDeleteMay God bless you my sister in Christ Lynette. Many times the devil will stop us from going to church on Sundays, because he knows that if we do so, then we will miss our blessing. Sometimes God wants you to be in his house, so that you may hear a word that was meant especially for you and others times for spiritual cleansing. We all need to be fed daily and cleansed weekly, because of what's going on in the world. There is so much drama, crime or pain out there that sometimes we all could use a little good news in our lives. From my experience or knowledge there is nothing better that hearing or reading the word of God.
ReplyDeleteMay God continue to bless you all,
Charles
