Change

Change is something every human will experience if God had blessed them enough to live that long. Somethings change for the good and others for the bad, but through it all its all in Gods plan. As I watch President Barrack Obama, I was brought to tears and after I heard one of his speeches. I then said to my son," That's a bad man and you can be anything you want to be , only if you put your mind to it. History rewrites itself everyday, in many ways, a black President, a black man singing the national anthem and people from all races coming together to revel in this moment. Thoughts are racing through my mind everyday , because I know that so many sacrifices , mistakes or failures have been made to make this moment happen. I know it was all in Gods plan to make this possible and that is why I always believed that when God open doors we should walk in them. Because if we trusted God more then we all would realize that only he has the power to make a way out of nothing. Also if God has his hands in it, then everything the believer touches will be blessed. Just knowing this very important fact, we should all go after dreams , take advantage of every opportunity', take chances and live our lives to the fullest.

Many times in our lives God has blessed each of us with different opportunities', but we let fear, distance or change keep us getting what we truly deserve. Doubt is the devils oldest and his most useful trick. I have heard people say this many times, "If it is meant for me, then its for me, but if its gone then I guess it wasn't meant to be". Well that is not how God operates, because if he opens a door for you or gives you an opportunity, then the time is now, not later.

My biggest change I made in my life was giving myself to Christ and its hasn't been easy. The devil has tested me many times over and still is testing me now today. But over time I noticed a change in my life, I am happier now , more fulfilled and now I am at peace. Through God I have  grown stronger, became more patient, I appreciate everything in life especially the smallest things , because I now realize our life is so short or precious. I have also realized that everyone should go after their dreams or desires. Also that God does not believe in doubt or fear. Because it is written that if man or woman has faith in God as small as a mustard seed, that we could do all things. The only limitations we have are the ones we put on ourselves.

 My best advice to give all who read this is to; Walk by faith and not by sight. Allow God to change your life for the better, then in the process doors will begin to open and you will be able to follow or achieve your dreams. But first you have to acknowledge this very important fact, besides God you are number one.( Never forget that) My mother always told me while I was growing up always take care of myself first, before I make an attempt to take care of others. She would say , "Son improve yourself everyday and with the seasons". She went on to say," God doesn't just want us to improve ourselves, when the years go by, but also as the seasons begin or end". Trust in the power of God, because when God move things happen and require change.  So if you are having problems today, just pray about it and then ask God for a change. If you are tired of the drama,the confusion, the suffering or  the pain and you are ready to go into a new direction , then you  know that it time for a change .

Have faith in God, Jesus answered. I tell you the truth, if anyone says to the mountain ,Go throw yourself into the sea and does not doubt in hi heart, but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone,forgive him, so that your Father in Heaven may forgive you ,your sins.

Without Regrets

I was once told that, there are two things in the world that never lie, that's math or God. My father would always say, that there are two things man or woman can't ever prevent, that's getting older or dying. He would always say,"Son live life to the fullest and without regrets". As I think about these last three sentences, it reminds me of the conversation I once had with a good friend of mine. He was married for over twenty years and his wife was diagnosed with cancer. After the many chemo treatments ,she had been given only two weeks to live. He said this too me, "Charles you know, my wife was stronger than I was". After the doctor told us that my wife, had two weeks to live I went into the other room and began to cry. But my wife told me that she was ready to go and she was tired, I was amazed at her strength and bravery. Then she said to me, "That it was time to be with the Father and to stop crying because she was okay". Then she went on to say," Baby after I was diagnosed with cancer, we lived our lives to the fullest". We traveled the world , we ate at the finest restaurants and did everything that our hearts desired. We never held back. then we lived life as if it wasn't promised or without regrets. I am happy that we had the chance to live life that way, because without knowing when I could die, we instead knew that I would die, so we lived life to the fullest. I only wish that it didn't take a doctor to tell us about my condition, to make us live this way . Everyone should live their life as if there wasn't a tomorrow, because in fact that's what it is. None of us are promised tomorrow and what happen to me could also happen to others. I am just happy that I got to spend my last years, my last months, weeks or hours with you, the man I love without regrets and with Gods blessings. So baby, don't be sad , stop crying because I am happy and I know its my time to go.

After hearing this from my friend my heart went out to him and I told him how sorry I was for his lose. They were the perfect couple, both short, well mannered, soft spoken and God fearing people. It was a joy for me to be in their company. I would look at them with admiration and said, to myself, I hope one day too be as lucky as them. Two people so much in love  , that also loved life and also loved God. What more could a man or woman ask for? Living life to the fullest, without hesitation, without fear, without procrastination or without regrets. As I looked at my friend with a very sad face as he was about to go . He then said to me," Charles don't be feel bad for me or feel sympathy, because I am okay". My wife and I had a wonderful life, that was blessed by God. Do I miss my wife? Yes, I do. But we had a chance to do what so many people in my past and in the present didn't have a chance of experiencing. Living to the fullest without regrets and with God . If you are blessed enough to read this , please learn from this very important lesions. Never live life as if tomorrow is promised. Take chances, live life without fear, experience this beautiful world that God has created, seek love, go after your dreams and always live life to the fullest, without regrets as if there were  no tomorrow.

Simple Words Or Phrases

My mother used to tell me, "Its not what you say,that makes a difference in peoples lives, but how you say it". All my life, I have heard many people say negative things to tear down their children, family members, their spouses and some employers even tear down their employees. In the end those harmful words end up destroying peoples lives. Some have been known too seek divorce, others don't associate with their family members and some even quit their jobs, because of the abuse or disgusting language. When I used to get bothered by this type of abuse from my former employer or from a former girlfriend. My mother would always comfort me by telling me to forgive them, because they don't know any better. She would explain to me that some people grow up in abusive homes and are trained mentally to be that way. Like my late grandmother would put it, You are only a product of your own environment and if you grow up around negative people chances are you will be that way when you grow up. That's why my parents always made it a point to say a simple word or phrase to make me or my siblings know that they loved us.

Everyday, we live our life without saying some simple words that could save our marriages, our friendships, improve our lives and encourage our children. The power of the spoken word is very powerful and instead of using some words to tear people down, we all should instead use words to build people up. So here are some of the words that, I know all of us know very well, but make little use of them. I love you; I care about you; I appreciate you; I know you can and thank you, are just some of the words we can say. But as you know some of us are so stuck on ourselves that we can't even say a simple hello or hi. Its almost like some people are afraid of giving or receiving complements and that's sad. If the were smart God fearing people then they would realize that,  positive thoughts  will produce positive results. The next time you tell your husband or wife that I love you and appreciate you, even for the smallest things it would  in fact make a huge difference in your life . It could improve your marriage, then you will gain more respect from your spouse and the love they feel for you will continue too grow stronger. If you show your husband or wife that they are worth something too you and then in return you will have a mate that's very appreciative of you. Just by saying some of those simple words. The same goes for you children or friends. It does not take much effort to say to your children or friends that you love them, appreciate them, keep up the good work, I am here for you, I know you can and when you need to talk I am always here for you. These simple words or phrases can make a persons day, encourage them or inspire them to be better people . With saying some positive words everyday to the people you know or love will not only be a blessing to them, but also will glorify God.

Become A Blessing

People sometimes can become burdens to others and sometimes some of those people may happen too be our own children, family members, friends or spouse. Its sad to say this , but some people never grow up or take responsibility for their own affairs or actions. With our children sometimes its okay when they come back home for help, but the constant begging or getting themselves in trouble is enough to drive anyone insane. I know this may make some parents laugh, but I always thought after you raised your children and they became adults, that you were through or done. But they still come back to dad or mom, looking at you like ,you are an instant free bank account or think that you have an all you can eat for free buffet at home for their diposal. Don't our children ever grow up and if so when will I ever get my things or money back? (smile, just kidding) Sometimes our friends, relatives and even our grown children come over too our homes, then borrow stuff, that you have to eventually borrow back. All jokes aside sometimes our grown children, some family members, our closest friends and even our spouses sometimes act like children themselves. Always wanting someone to take care of them or their responsibilities'. If they get themselves in trouble or if the happen to get behind on their bills that is when the expect their parents or friends to come to their rescue. What's really hard is when the people we love always seem to get themselves in trouble(Like going to jail or prison) and we have to be the ones to bail them out. Helping the ones we love can become stressful and can also hurt financially. To those who happen to be spoiled , depend on their family or friends, stop being a burden and become a blessing. Show the people you love that you are not a failure and that you can make it on your own.

That is why I am writing this journal, to remind those who have become burdens to their love ones, to instead become a blessings. also to tell them to get themselves a job, a car and to properly insure themselves while they are living. My mother had a saying that I'll never for get, "Its better to be safe than sorry". If you happen to be walking around without health, life , car insurance or happen to own your own business and its not insured. Then you are in fact taking a risk and you could leave those burdens to the ones you love. Its been my purpose to lead others to God and to help others see themselves for who they really are. If you want to become a blessing to others, you first have to have your life straight, by doing the right things and by treating the people you love with respect. Don't tell the people you love them instead show them by being responsible and Becoming A Blessing.

Don't Let Your Heart Condemn Your Soul

  

If you happen to be reading this, (Yes You) I have a question for you. What does your family, friends or spouse really mean too you? I used to believe that blood was thicker than water or that family really meant something or mattered. But what I have found  in this cruel, judgmental or mean world, it seems that a lot of people are forgetting about what's really important and that's our family, friends or our spouses. It's really sad that there is so much infighting within our own government, churches, families, friendships, marriages and relationships. All of us should expect a good fight when we leave our home, go to our job and yes one can expect evil to show up even at our family house. But no one should have or expect to wage war at home a place they call their castle. It makes one wonder when is this evil ever going to end and why won't most of us realize as husband, wives, family members or fiends that we are all we got? I heard a very sad true story today, that really touched my heart. Its about a thirty- one year old lady, who's in the hospital with pneumonia .What sad about this story is that the young lady's organs are failing, she could die and there are no family members or friends there by her side. It makes one wonder why? Why aren't they there and why don't they seem too care? She is someones daughter, girl friend, sister or friend. It doesn't or shouldn't matter what she has done in her past, present or what she has become, she is some body's family member, someones friend, church member, co-worker or on some body's friends list on a social network and deserves better. Has the world become so cruel or heartless that we stop caring about our fellow man or woman needs?

This brings me to another story, (well its not a story sadly enough) because it has become normal or a fact of life. Our young men are fighting, shooting, robbing and then killing each other everyday. None of them(our children) sadly to say seems to respect their parents, teachers , law enforcement or even Pastors or Preachers at local churches. I wonder when are we as brothers, men, fathers, mothers, Pastors, Priest or our so called leaders are going to have the courage or faith to walk up to our young men to tell them too stop the killing. Also tell them that we love them and we aren't going to any more funerals, because they have to much to live for. Tell our young men that we want them to live and to get off of the road of destruction. Tell them to fill their hearts with love, instead of hate and embrace the wonderful gift of life. This is a special message to anyone who is blessed enough to read this, "Your children, family, friends, mother, father, grandparents and even your spouse are blessings from God". Yes! Love them while they are living and don't wait until they are gone to tell them how much you care! Stop being or don't become one of those people, who can't wait until their loves ones are gone, just so that they can collect that persons life insurance policy, money, house, car or material things! I know there may be some who don't even care or even give a second thought about these two real life stories. Before I close let me ask you are we our brothers or sisters keepers? Also before you endorse or like anything online or in public make sure you aren't doing it at a price that may cost you your integrity or soul.  To those people who may feel or think that I am being a little harsh, "Don't Let Your Heart Condemn Your Soul". Because what you do here on Earth will and shall be judged in Heaven by our Father God.

The Perfect Man or Woman?(Question Of The Week)

Since I gave my life to Christ and started to write spiritual writings, you would be amazed by the comments or messages I get through out the week. Most of them are very positive and many have written me, then thanked me for blessing them with Gods awesome words. But as you know, you can't please everybody and there will always be one or two that would say something negative or even question why I wrote the things in my journal. I could do the worldly thing, get upset and fight back with some angry words of my own, but instead I chose the righteous path, the path of God. A path laid out by God to always remain positive in an imperfect world and to always take a negative, then turn it into a positive.

This brings me to the question of the week and I owe this one to my Anonymous friend. You know who you are and this one is for you. The question is, Are there perfect men or women in the world today? And if so if one would happen to be blessed with one, would the marriage or relationship work? For the answer to this question I will go back to my childhood and remember a conversation I had once had with my mother. I remember my mother explaining to me that if a woman happen to meet a perfect man, then get into a relationship with him, that it wouldn't last. Now don't ask me why my mother and I got in this conversation, because I don't know. My mother, father, grandmother and many others have had many interesting conversations. Some related to me and others didn't. But for some reason my mind is like a sponge and it remembers almost everything. That's why I can't stop writing, God triggers me to write, when a strange subject comes up, I just write  and can't stop. (Smile)

Now back to my mothers and I conversation; I asked my mother why didn't she think a relationship would work with a perfect man or woman. She smile , then said," Its simple Chuck, men or women are flawed, sinners and make many mistakes". A perfect man or woman wouldn't be happy with an imperfect spouse. Why? Because they couldn't live up, to the perfect persons expectations. Men or women are born in sin and will always make mistakes, so imagine being in a relationship with someone that's perfect. After remembering that conversation with my mother it made me think about my Anonymous friend. Yes men or women would love to have a perfect man or woman, but why be involved with someone if you are not that way yourself? Allot of us want pre-programmed men or women, not wanting to take the time to grow with them. We want a man or woman that's already in church, with good jobs, good morals and perfect bodies. Wow, what world do you live in, because it certainly isn't the world I live in or know. There are no perfect men or women and there is no one perfect for you. If you want a good or an outstanding relationship or marriage, then you will have to grow with them and make it work. If many of you christian men or women took time out with the people you loved, then its very possible the man or woman will turn out to be what you hoped for. Grow with your man or woman. If they never been to church, then take them and introduce them to God. Yes it will be hard at first and many will resist you at first. No one said life would be easy or fair ,but with time, patience and faith in God, all things can be done or accomplished with Christ by your side.
