In Gods Hands

Life is full of surprises, one week life can be good or the next very bad. That's the way life is, one day it can be very exciting or stressful and in the next a complete disaster. Life as always, has been very unpredictable and no one knows when a person may live or die. One moment you could be sharing a cup of coffee, having a conversation or enjoying good times with them( Your Children, Co- worker ,Family, Best Friend or Friends, Parent or Spouse) and in the next moment they are gone. That is why it so important to live life to the fullest, also to tell the people close to you, that you appreciate or love them and never to procrastinate when it comes to making life's very important decisions. Also after prayer one must expect God to answer their prayers, then be ready to take advantage of each and every opportunity. We all must trust God when he opens doors, blesses us with new love or opportunities. Because he already has a plan in place and his plan is always perfect. God loves each of us so much that when he hears our prayers, he then answers them with opportunities or doors that sometimes are open or available for that precise moment .

When I hear ambulance, police sirens or even when I watch the daily news, then hear of people that may have died in automobile accidents, plane crashes, have terrible disease or others that have been killed, murdered and have passed away. I then realize how little control that each of us really have over our own lives and that each of our lives are truly in Gods hands. He is the only one that determines our fate and he is the only one that has the power to give, judge, bless or too take away. What bothers me is when people, including myself sometimes don't truly trust Gods  promise or plan.What I mean by this, is when we pray and ask God for something, he always delivers on his promises.Where the problem begins, is when we doubt the blessing or question if its is even a blessing from God.

To those who are blessed enough to read this, ask yourself this question. If you asked God for something like a good paying job, business opportunity, a chance too better yourself or even a good man or woman, then why question it, if was you that prayed for it? Wasn't it you on your knees on that day or night that asked God for those things? Why let doubt or fear keep you from being blessed? Don't you realize its the devils job, to put doubt or fear in your mind, to also make your question your own heart in, order too keep you from being blessed? Trust God with your life and put everything in Gods hands. For in Gods hands our Father in Heaven will keep you safe from harm and if you believe, then truly give it too him, what ever you do in Jesus name will be achieved or become a blessing.Take my advice today, tonight or whenever you are blessed enough to read this at,this precise moment. Trust God with every  aspect of your life and when you ask him for something always expect him to answer. For the Bible says (John 8:47 He who belongs to God hears what God says. The reason you do not hear is that you do not belong to God.") Which means to me if you really trust God then you will follow his plan and if you don't then its no one fault but your own.( John 14:17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.) Remember this God will never turn his back on man, even when man turns his back on God. God loves us, he will never leave us and when we need him the most, he will always be there. Put you life in the hands of Jesus, in the hands of God.

Its Friday!!!!

I remember not so long ago, how I used to look forward to the weekends. Being fresh out of my mother or fathers home it was exciting to me to be able to do the things that I wanted to do. I was free to be my own man and I didn't have to live by my parents rules anymore. As you know when you are being raised by your parents, they sometimes can be very restrictive. When I got old enough or legal  I always dreamed of what I would do on my weekends. I did what most young men or women did at that age, like going to the movies, a little clubbing, traveling ,went too all of the parades, parties or festivals, out to eat at the restaurants that I could afford ,chased  all the girls and did anything that I considered was fun. I would stay out all night and sometimes I wouldn't stop having fun until the sun came up. To me those were the good old days, enjoying life without any responsibility and being accountable to no one else but myself. I know that there may be some that may be asking, well if you enjoyed yourself so much then, well what happened and why did you stop having so much fun? The easy answer to that is, latter in life  I had children, got married, then divorce and having children or getting married sometimes can slow one's life down to a crawl. The reason behind this is now that you have children and married after that one must become more responsible. You also must now act like a husband, wife, mother or father and can't be that wild man or woman that you used to be on the weekends. Those days of being crazy or irresponsible are now gone and now you have to plan your weekends around your children, until they become adults or grown.

The question is what happens when our children become adults or grown ?And now that they are adults what do we, now do with our own lives? I am not twenty-one or young anymore , I feel out of the loop, don't know the game and now I don't know what to do with my new found freedom. This reminds me of some of my late grandmother famous old sayings," If you don't use it, then you will loose it ; You never to old to enjoy life and you should never stop living because your children are grown". I used to laugh at my late grandmother when she danced, because it was funny. Then she would smile at me and say," Chuck what are you laughing at"? Then I said, "Grandmother you know that you are too old for dancing". Then she smiled back at me ,then said, "Baby nothing gets old but clothes and I can dance better than you". What I admired about my late grandmother is that she had a smile that would light up any room and she was always on the go. She traveled all over the country, went on cruises ,attended parties and never stopped having fun. As my late grand mother would put it, "Life can only be as enjoyable as you make it ,so get out and enjoy the beautiful world that God created, then continue having fun. Now its Friday time to take my late grandmothers advice to heart and look forward to the weekends. Time to get groomed , the hair cut , the car cleaned up and ready to roll. Like I used to say then and say now, "Thank God its Friday!! That's right Gods people, Its Friday! Time to get out and to have some fun!! Its Friday!!!!!!

All I Can Do Is Smile

If you ever been through a divorce, been in a car accident , got behind on your bills, had death in your family or any other troubling situation, then you know that life isn't easy. This reminds me of something my mother or father used to tell me when they would say," You make think that life is full of peaches and cream". "But what you don't realize is that, its hard out there".( They were right.) But if you happen to be an adult then you know as children, most of us thought that we knew it all. Therefore we couldn't wait until we were grown and now that we are many of us now realize, that our parents were right. I don't know about you, but now that I am grown all up with responsibilities of my own, All I Can Do Is Smile.

As a young man, that was about to get out on his own, I often question my mother or father practices. I thought that they were too hard on me, when in fact they were only trying to prepare me for the future and the outside world. I remember a conversation that I had with my father, when after a party I came in later than he wanted me too. He looked at me in a way only my father could, mean and intimidating. Then he said to me," Chuck didn't I tell your butt to be in at twelve"? Being that I was eighteen, I felt like I was a man, so I shouldn't have to be in at that time. So stupidly I said to my father, that I am a man  and no  I shouldn't have to come in at that time. ( I said stupidly, because if you knew my father back in the day, you would know that he didn't play and that he would have killed me if I disrespected him). Then my father asked me this question, Chuck you really feel like a man  and do you really think you have all the answers? I said," Yes Daddy I do". Then he walked up too me and boy was I scared. I thought that he was about too kill me. But my father shocked me, not with his actions, but with his words and then shook his head then said. "Son if you think you are really man enough to act like a man, then its time for you  to go. All I could say too myself," Is wow"! Now I have done it ! What am I going to do? I had no job, no house, no car, no money, no where to go and not a pot to piss in. I knew that I put my foot in my mouth and now that I think about it , All I Can Do Is Smile.

Boy, was I crazy and if I could go back in time I would slap, myself. Because life with my mother or father was so simple then. When I lived with my parents, I had no bills, no worries and the girls my mother ran them all away. (Smile) Because she wanted me to concentrate on school, to stay focused and knew that if I got involved with them at that age, that I wouldn't graduate. Now that I am an adult, all of the things they protected me from I have to handle now as a man. Yes, that man I bragged and said that I was. But now that I am older and wiser now, All I Can Do Is Smile.

Our parents as hard as they were, are blessings from God and if they help mold you into productive adults or citizens then you should grateful , then always thank God for them. Look at the state of the world today, where there are lots of parents who don't care. Our children today are angry, confused, lost and unprepared. So many of them are disrespectful , have no fear of their parents or the law and don't seem to care about anything. Why? Because they don't have the parents that we were blessed with and they don't fear God. When I see a disrespectful children, teenagers or even young adults, I just think back or wonder how my mother or father would have reacted or handled them. I know that if the children today were raised by parents or parents of yesterday or years past like yours or mine then the world would be a better place. I know that even today, children really need loving, hard, strong, stick and God fearing parents to raise a lost generation.When I think about this, at this time or moment , All I Could Do Is Smile.

Soul Mates

 Have you ever wondered is there a thing called  true love ? Have you ever asked yourself this particular question, "Is there a man or woman out in the world that's made especially for me"? From the beginning of time when God created both man and woman( He started with Adam and Eve). Both men or women have always sought out their equal or their soul mates. Its have been said or written that for every man that God created, there is a woman created especially for him.( Jeremiah 31:22 How long will you go here and there, O faithless daughter? For the LORD has created a new thing in the earth-- A woman will encompass a man.") If you happen to believe this to be true the question many may ask is who and if so where are they? My late grandmother had a saying that I'll never forget," Sometimes what we look for, happens too be right in our mist". What this means to me is its very possible that the man or woman God has for you, has already been revealed too you.

If you ever happen too be in prayer and have asked God for something sincerely, he will in fact give you what your heart desires. Sometimes we over look a person because they might not have the looks or the possessions what we ask for. Men or women for thousands of years have always looked at a persons outer appearance when choosing or seeking a mate. Some men or women have been known only to date or marry someone only if they  posses wealth, a lot of material things or if they are of the same race. Some people my be fooled by thinking that if a man or woman posses wealth, then they are in fact good people. History or current events proves this to be a myth, because if one were to observe the facts, then they would realize that even rich people have a hard time finding their true love or Soul Mates.

My late grandmother had a famous saying that I still remember today," Oh how the eyes shall fool you, then the mind shall persuade you and then lead you astray". Which means too me , that our Soul Mates or future spouse could have already been revealed or that they are already within our mist. These people could have been that man or woman that we already seen at a local grocery store, at church or even over the internet. To those who may question this fact, I offer you this as proof. Sometimes when we see certain people there is an instant attraction and then our minds go to wondering if that person could be the one that we are looking for. But do to lack of time or a little of doubt, that keeps many of us from pursuing our mates.

Sometimes, our eyes reveal too us what our minds refuses to accept, too believe or receive. Which means sometimes we let our eyes or mind talk us out of our blessing. What's different with God is that he looks beyond the flesh and looks with in our hearts. What God knows is always best and like my late grandmother would say, "Its not what we want for ourselves its what God wants for us". Why do men and women pass up good men or women or their blessings? The easy answer to this question is because most of us become impatient or some people get desperate and then make bad choices. That is why there are so many divorces and its also why there are so many single people. Because people pass up the good men or women and date or marry the bad ones. Is there a soul mate or spouse out there for every man or woman ? Yes, there is someone for everyone. Always remember this, "God never stop creating good things or good people". With prayer and a little of faith God will give those who believe, their equal and  their desires of their hearts or their Soul Mates.

Monday!!!

I woke up this morning and all I could say was thank you Jesus! I made it through another week, survived another day and with the blessing of the Lord another year. Today on Monday I feel blessed to be alive. But as you know the devil isn't going to let me get off that easy, after all he has a job to do and his job is to seek or too destroy. I looked out at my car this morning, then noticed that my tire on my passengers side was flat and it was pouring down raining outside. I could have panicked or I could have been mad, but instead I was very thankful. Why you may ask? Well because the devil forgot one very important fact, that this wasn't my first time getting a flat tire. As a matter of fact I have had several flat tires in my lifetime. I already knew what to do and how to do it. I just got up grabbed my umbrella, then walked to the nearest store, bought some fix- a -flat and then very soon after my tire was back in working condition.

 When I was younger I remember asking my late grandmother this question, "Why does God allow good people to suffer or too go through storms"? Then she smiled and answered me with this answer, Baby, so that you will be able to survive another one. She went on to say every storm, trail or tribulation, that God blesses you to survive is not only a blessing, but its also a learning experience. My grandmother was right, each storms, trails and tribulations are not only victories they are also strength builders. They test your strength as well as your character. As you go through them then you will really find out what type of man or woman you really are. Through each of them I have learned many things and also learned from my many mistakes. If you are blessed enough to read this always remember that , those situations prepare you for the future and if you are smart or wise enough, then you too will not panic when the next problem or when trouble arrives. Why? Well because you been there, done that before or already experienced it and by now you should be able to handle or weather any storm that may come your way. Yes, its Monday, not a blue Monday or day to be dread. Its just another beautiful day, that God has created, made or another week that you have survived to make it to another day. That's right God's people, Its Monday! Thank you Jesus! Its Monday!

Life Is Short

I just received a message from a friend that touched my heart. She told me that she happened to be the only surviving member in her immediate family and has been diagnosed with stage four cancer. Her words exactly were ," I watched my family members loose weight, transform into weak and frail persons only to die right in front of my eyes"." Most of my friends and colleagues' are telling me to prepare for death, but I can't". After reading this very touching e-mail , all I could say is , Wow! This message reminds me of something my mother used to always tell me. When she would say," If you think you have it hard , there is always someone else in the world that has it worse than yourself". What my mother said and this e-mail means to me, is that Life Is Short. Most of us live our lives for tomorrow , when today is right in front of us. Every moment is precious and every opportunity should be taken advantage of. Every person that lives today, should always remind the people they love that they care for them. None of us should ever miss the opportunity to love someone or to allow someone else to love us back. Life is so short and none knows the day or hour when they shall hold their last breath again. Embrace life because its truly a gift from God and life above everything else should always be cherished. This is a message for her or anyone else that may happen to be in her shoes. Never give up, never loose faith and God is still in charge! God is still in the healing business and its not over until God says its over! I pray for her healing in the mighty name of Jesus and she shall be made whole again!To all my friends, family and associates, please enjoy, embrace the gift or blessings of life. For life is fleeting and nothing last forever but God. Take advantage of today, because tomorrow isn't promised to any of us. Enjoy the sun, for it may not rise for you tomorrow, love today or the one that you may care for will be taken away forever. Forget what happen yesterdays, thank God for if he blesses you with more tomorrows, because Life Is Short!

Its Over Now

Today, I over heard a woman complaining about her husbands, past mistakes. She went on complaining to one of  her girlfriends how bad of a husband she has and how bad he treated her in their past. But what she failed to mention was that they were still together and those mistakes he made was far in their  distant past. After she got through talking about her husband, she thought she would get a mans point of view so she asked me these questions . She said to me Charles is it so wrong to hold on to something that happen so long ago?Why is it so hard to forgive my husband? He is a good man and I know that he is not perfect and neither am I. But I have a hard time forgiving him and forgetting what he has done. She went on to say I have always been told in order to go to Heaven, you have to forgive the person who has wrong you and to leave the past in the past. So please tell me what can I do to finally move on so I could love my husband in a way a wife is suppose to love her husband.

 After she was finished I smiled and said," Well first you have to leave you problems or troubles with our Father in Heaven". Then she said, "Charles, I know that and I have tried ". I have prayed many times and nothing seems to work or  happen. Then I said, "Well that's because you are being impatient and not giving God time to heal you". I went on too tell her that, "God hears your prayers and when the time is right he will bless you with the necessary strength or wisdom to over come your fears or pain. Then she looked at me with tears in her eyes and said, "I love him Charles, but I am having a hard time forgiving him! He cheated on me with that woman and sometimes when I am with him all I can see is her. Lord knows I have tried Charles, but I am scared. Then I asked her what was she afraid of, then she said to me that she was scared that he might cheat on her again and do the same thing all over again.

Then I looked at her and said It hurt doesn't it? Then she looked at me with a mean look and said, Yes! Of course it hurts what do you think? Then I smiled at her and said, How do you think God feels when we do something wrong or sin against him? Then she couldn't say anything. Then I went on to tell her despite all of our sins , God sacrificed his only son Jesus so that we may live. God forgave us and each of us are obligated to forgive others. You say that you love your husband, but you don't forgive him. Don't you realize that love and forgiveness are link together? Then she said to me Charles I do love my husband, but I don't know how to forgive him. I need help she said, pleased help me forget. Then I said to her, that it not required that you forget, but it is required that you forgive. If you pray, then ask God to take away your pain, in time he will answer your prayers. But first you have to stop doubting yourself and your marriage. God has allowed it to survive all the years for a reason. With some hard work many prayers and lots of sacrifice your marriage will blossom into something beautiful. You just have to trust God and truly give your problems to him. Then I looked at her and asked her this question, Remember you told me that your husband hurt you in your past and now he is doing better? Then she said ," Yes I remember". Then I said, Well part of your prayers has already been answered and  its over. One day soon both you and your husband will talk about what each of you went through. You will talk about the many battles, obstacles or storms that you each had to over come, just to make it too where God has you going. One day soon with the blessing of God you shall have a beautiful marriage. Every marriage requires hard work, a lot of time and  plenty of patience. None are successful over night, so just be patient and trust God more. Then she smiled and said" Okay , I will try". And then I said, All God requires is that you try, then give  all of your burdens to him . God always answers prayers and when God moves things happen.

If you happen to be reading this always remember, whats in the past should stay in the past. Everyone of us carries a little baggage or have somethings in our closets that we may want to forget and don't want others to know about. In order to move on each of us must deal with our past and then get on with our future. There is no way person can take it back what they have said or done. In order to move on you must forgive the person that has hurt them and then themselves. Its always important too learn from ones mistakes. That way one will always be prepared too never let it happen again. Forgive, but never forget that God has allowed you to go through these things, just to show you how strong you really are. Remember through God, all things are possible and with him in your life, you can or shall over come all things. Tell yourself this tonight or  even in the morning, that my past is my past and Its Over Now .
